FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
VIP Sales Announces First of a Kind Smoothies With Real Fresh Frozen Fruit In A Bag; Executive's Home Made Creations Transformed Into a New Line of VIP Ready To Blend Smoothies.
PR Newswire, Sept 20, 2002
TULSA, Okla. — VIP Sales of Tulsa introduces a new low fat fresh frozen fruit combination with a custom smoothie packet for Ready to Blend Smoothies.
Founder and CEO Guy W. Lewis decided about five years ago to eat a healthier diet and so would have a smoothie for lunch.
"One of the problems I ran into was having to keep six or seven bags of different frozen fruit in the freezer. I thought if we could come up with a convenient, all-in-one smoothie item for the frozen fruit section, we would really have something."
From this tinkering has sprung a new product line -- VIP Smoothies. Included are four combinations Peachy Papaya Twister with peaches, papaya, strawberries and apricots; Strawberry Banana Avalanche with strawberries and bananas; Cherry Berry Blizzard with blueberries, bananas, strawberries, cherries and red raspberries and Tropical Isle Hurricane with pineapple, bananas, strawberries, papaya and mango.
VIP Smoothies are loaded with chunks of real fruit that have been individually quick-frozen. Inside each unique standup bag is a smaller package containing the smoothie mix plus the individually fresh frozen fruit combination. All a customer has to do is pour them into a blender, add l-1/2 cups of water or juice and in one minute, 32 ounces of delicious smoothie is ready to enjoy.
Each of VIP's four varieties delivers 100 percent of the Daily Value of Vitamin C. They are also good sources of potassium, are low in sodium, low fat and cholesterol and saturated fat-free.
They are in grocer's freezers nationwide. VIP Sales, Inc. was founded in 1967 and is based in Tulsa. The company has about 140 frozen food products on the market in the United States and internationally.
