Keep frozen until use. Do not heat in this bag. Always cook asparagus to 160°F before eating. Adjustments to these directions may be necessary to cook thoroughly.
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS
  1. Place asparagus in 2-quart microwaveable covered casserole dish.
  2. Add 1/4 cup water; cover.
  3. Microwave on HIGH 4-1/2 to 5-1/2 minutes or until asparagus is cooked through, rearranging with fork halfway through microwave time.
NOTE: Times based on 900 to 1200 watt microwave ovens. Microwave ovens vary; adjustments may be necessary for your microwave oven.
STOVETOP DIRECTIONS
  1. Bring 1/4 cup water to boil in 10-inch skillet.
  2. Add asparagus. Return to boil.
  3. Cover; cook on medium heat 4 minutes or until asparagus is cooked through. Drain.
Quick Thaw: To quick thaw for cooked recipe use, place asparagus in strainer under warm running water until thawed. (Asparagus should always be cooked to 160°F prior to using in uncooked recipes.)
